Today is our last day in Chicago. We leave for Anchorage tomorrow morning. The week has been pretty good. The flight here was miserable so hopefully the flight home will be better. The weather has been nice. It's been in the 80s with pretty high humidty. I've loved the heat, I even spent some time on the patio by the pool in the sunshine working on my tan! Poor little Dain has had a cold all week, but he seems to be fairing well. He's spent pretty much the whole week in the stoller. I've been walking all over downtown Evanston while Alex is in training all day.
On Monday after Alex was done with training we walked a few blocks to check out Lake Michigan. It looks just like an ocean!
The highlight of the week was on Wednesday night when we went to a baseball game a Wrigley Field. We had a great time watching the Cubs vs. Braves. Dain even seemed to enjoy all that was going on around him. It was so much fun!
I think my baby is turning into a little boy right before my eyes. He's a photo of him in the Hotel in his pjs that Grandpa Keith got him.
On Thursday we found a little kid's park a few blocks from the hotel. We went twice that day, Dain couldn't get enough of it, especially the swings!
It's been a fun trip, but we're anxious to get back home! We're looking forward to a great summer back in Alaska! We can't wait to go fishing!
